Abstract

Conduct Disorder can be a very difficult problem for professionals to deal with. Although the DSM-IV describes the presenting symptoms and diagnostic criteria, there are no specific criteria presented for girls. The research literature also emphasizes studies of boys with conduct disorder. How do girls differ from boys in the formation of conduct disorder? What are the long-term effects on girls who have conduct disorder? This article examines the current literature concerning conduct disorder in the female population
